Ano?
Ano? is a Tagalog language learning app that prioritizes fostering connection and belonging among those who have lost touch with their Filipino heritage. Designed to cater to the the diverse learning goals and engagement levels of our users, Ano? empowers learners with the flexibility to concentrate on their chosen area of Tagalog language study while also learning about Filipino history and culture through its lessons.
Inspired from my own experience as a Filipino-American navigating language barriers, I wanted create a platform based on healing, growth, and reconnection with our Filipino roots through the Tagalog language.

Although the main component of my thesis was language-focused, I wanted to incorporate an additional element that ties into the cultural significance of my work—a visual map that can inspire others to explore the Philippines’ hidden gems. These places are not only visually stunning but also carry deep emotional and cultural significance, adding a rich layer to the exploration experience.
